"Spectroscopy Tutorial" book uses the data that is obtained from spectroscopy and is called a spectrum [a spectrum is a plot of the intensity of energy detected versus the wavelength (or mass or momentum or frequency, etc.) of the energy] to identify the components of a sample (qualitative analysis), i.e., to identify the structural formula of unknown compound. To deepen and clarify the idea of this book; it contains four chapters: Ultraviolet-Visible (UV/Vis) Spectroscopy that shows absorption only if conjugated pi-electron systems are present, Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy that determines…mehr

To deepen and clarify the idea of this book; it contains four chapters: Ultraviolet-Visible (UV/Vis) Spectroscopy that shows absorption only if conjugated pi-electron systems are present, Infrared (IR) Spectroscopy that determines functional groups in the compound, Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Spectroscopy that distinguishes and counts atoms in different locations in the molecule, and Mass (MS) Spectrometry providing a precise molecular weight. In order to view the whole idea of the book, the fifth chapter is designed containing a range of solved problems.
