In this work, initially it was decided to carry out a survey to verify the implementation, usage & acceptance of MIS in 350 industries (200 small scale, 100 medium scale and 50 large scale). The study reveals that only 96 (46%) out of 200 small scale industries, as many as 73 (73%) out of 100 medium scale industries & as high as 46 (98%) out of 50 large scale industries were using MIS. To validate these results different analysis such as Descriptive Statistics, One-Sample T-Test, Bivariate Correlation and One-Way ANOVA tests were carried out with the help of SPSS & Minitab statistical software. Brief descriptions of the significance of these tests are discussed. Finally, the main reason for the non-use of MIS in these industries are due to the limited use of computers, unawareness of potential activities which a computer can handle & incomplete or no information about MIS & its benefits, lack of awareness & inadequate training provided to employees are noticed.
