In today's active globalization process, it is important to study geodemographic situations in different regions, which are fundamentally different from each other, as well as the interrelationship of population development with economic sectors. The speed of production and the growth of the population's income, the development of communication processes, the aspiration of labour resources to the regions with favourable conditions and similar situations have been affecting the population development of the regions to a certain extent. Especially in the conditions of the market economy, in contrast to the planned economy, it requires a new approach to demographic processes and the analysis of the possibilities of ensuring the qualitative development of the population on a global scale.
