Terrorism is the use of terror for ideological, political or religious purposes. The Second Libyan Civil War was a conflict in Libya from 2014 to 2020 between three rival governments, various armed groups more or less aligned with them, including several jihadist groups, and Chadian and Sudanese rebel groups serving as mercenaries. The Sahel war, also known as the Sahel armed conflict, the Islamist insurgency in the Sahel, or the jihadist insurgency in the Sahel, is an armed conflict between the states of the Sahel region - in particular Chad, Mali, Niger, Mauritania, and Burkina Faso - and Salafist jihadist groups linked to Al Qaeda or the Islamic State. The Mali War is an armed conflict that has been taking place in Mali since 2012, following an insurgency by Salafist jihadist and pro-Azawad independence groups. This book aims to provide a view of terrorism, resistance, the first Libyan war, the second Libyan war, the Sahel war, and the Mali war.
