Guji Oromos are a predominant population of large Oromo people that lives in the southern part of Ethiopia. They consider the formal court structure as exotic. To them Gadaa institutions has penetrated the whole aspect of their life and determine their social, legal, political and cultural life in many respects. There are various institutions existing among Guji Oromos that has contributed enormously by amicably settling disputes of various nature. This institutions are informal means of justice. However, owing to the absence of due attention from government side, the legal system in genaral and Guji oromos in particular has forfeited the advantage the system would produce had it been institutionalized within governments legal framework.

Wakjira Tesfaye Beriso nació en 1996 en la parte rural de Etiopía. Creció como pastor, por lo que tuvo que estudiar mientras pastoreaba su ganado. Desde hace mucho tiempo ha tenido el sueño de convertirse en un abogado prominente en Etiopía.Se graduó de la escuela de leyes con una actuación aclamada.Actualmente enseña Derecho en la Universidad de Gondor.
