The work represents a research articulated around the concept of norm, an instrument of the theory of the Linguistic Imagination, oriented towards its direct application in the discourse of the Romanian literary press from 1877-1916. The interest in the punctual analysis of some linguistic aspects of such a large period is supported by the awareness of the existence of some moments of great transformations in the evolution of the Romanian language and culture.
