Bryantsev Valentin Alekseevich é um cientista de renome, cuja vida está ligada ao mar, Doutor em Ciências Geográficas, Professor, nascido em Chernigov (Ucrânia). Tem 186 obras publicadas. Participou em 26 expedições científicas marítimas. Atualmente, é professor na Universidade Nacional de Tauride V.I. Vernadsky (Kiev).
