Darkness has awoken in the kingdom of Vladvir... Down from the northern forests and into the plains, Norill raiding parties burn, and break, and kill; but their cruel weapons and black arrows do not strike alone. The border forts of Austgæta and Norogæta lie in ruins. With King Codard's vanguard defeated, Vladvir's defenses have fallen. In the west Lord Iramov-once an ally to the kingdom, now a growing threat-amasses an army. He carries the Death fragment, a destructive piece of Alora's Tear whose suffocating power brings only defeat and despair. For darkness has awoken in Vladvir. Armed with a fragment of his own, and first-hand knowledge of the devastation that Iramov and the Death fragment have wrought, Askon leaves Tolarenz behind to warn the king, alert his friends, and keep Vladvir's people safe. And there is more than darkness to wake...
Autorenporträt
Nathan spends most of his working days with the students of Genesee Junior-Senior High School in Genesee, Idaho. Whether it's essay structure, a classic literary work, an invisible ball of energy and deep breathing on stage, or the occasional impromptu dance routine, he strives to keep students interested in the fun and the fundamentals of the English language. When he's not teaching, he wears a number of hats, though the one that says "Dad" is the most careworn and cherished (it says "Husband" on the back). It hangs on a hook in a house where music is a constant and all the computers say "Apple" somewhere on their *aluminium* facades. From time to time it is said that he ventures into the mysterious realm called *outside*, though the occasion is rare and almost exclusively upon request by son or daughter.
