Arthur Hammond Marshall was an English author, publisher, and writer who wrote under the pen name Archibald Marshall. He was born on September 6, 1866, and died on September 29, 1934. He didn't want to work for his father's shipping company, so he first wanted to be a priest. He studied religion at Trinity College, Cambridge, and made friends with Bertram Fletcher Robinson, Vaughan Williams, and other people. In 1902, he married Nellie Banks, whose maiden name was Ellen Pollard and who had three children from her previous marriage to Alfred Banks.
