The quest for power has been known throughout the ages. Power is an ever present commodity that leaders are often vying to attain. But how does a leader account for follower needs? Why would a leader consider followers in the first place? As we discover through this study and examples of leaders in history, the answer to these questions is not what we may think. We find that the most effective leaders possess a unique answer to this question, which may seem ironic, but produces results like no other.
