The transition to international accounting standards will have an impact on all aspects of the auditor's work. Indeed, the impact of the change will not only be limited to the audit of the first financial statements established according to the international accounting standards, but also to other aspects, such as the cost of the mission which will certainly increase due to the increase in the work to be carried out by the auditor, as well as the interference of the auditor in the management of the company, in particular when he/she is going to assess the transition plan prepared by the managers of the audited company or when he/she is going to help the company to make a choice of accounting method provided for by the new standards. To this end, this report presents a practical approach to successfully make the transition to international accounting standards and, where appropriate, the impact of this change on the auditor's mission.
