Mark Schneider is vice president and institute fellow at the American Institutes for Research in Washington, D.C., a distinguished professor emeritus at the State University of New York at Stony Brook, and served as the U.S. Commissioner of Education Statistics from 2005-2008. KC Deane is a program manager at The Aspen Institute's College Excellence Program and was a research associate at the American Enterprise Institute's Center on Higher Education Reform.
