Neonatology has become a fundamental branch of veterinary medical practice, because it not only allows to understand the care and management of the kittens but also monitors, attends and regulates the environmental, sanitary, immunological and physical factors involved in the healthy development and growth of kittens, especially in cases such as: orphaned felines that must be supplemented with diets according to their age, body condition and nutritional status; such development will influence behaviors in the ontogenetic stages in a negative way such as aggressiveness, fear, inadequate marking or in a positive way. Therefore, by describing and making available to veterinarians and owners information regarding the care and management of domestic felines from the first day of life to six months of age, the quality of life of the kittens will be influenced by minimizing risk factors for early death.
