Autorenporträt
Born in Germany, Lassal spent the better part of her childhood in Brazil, where she had her first encounters with fairy tales, myths and legends not only from Europe, but also with the poetic and beautiful stories of the indigenous population in South America and the strong and intense tales that found their way to Brazil from Africa. All these multicultural influences coexist much more openly in the Brazilian day-to-day culture and deeply influenced her. Lassal first worked as an academic assistant of economics and computer animation, before gaining a reputation as a concept and storyboard artist, turning words and abstract ideas into images and sequences. At present she is dedicating herself intensely to her charity project Fingeralphabet.org, which you can, if you wish to do so, support by buying one of the books of the Fingeralphabet-Series. In addition to that the fairy tales and legends influences of her early life have finally wound their ways into stories of her own, which are now starting to be published one by one. Lassal currently lives in Germany.
