The knowledge of the optimal number of the base station is the most important object when designing wireless communication systems; this ensures a quality of service. In W-LANs, a minimum of three Access Points can cover a given physical area with no co-channel interference. With this condition, increasing the number of users that can access, a given Access Point in a given coverage area remains a challenge, but also adding an Access Point due to the changing in the environment to existing W-LANs remains a critical challenge. While Stochastic geometry seemed to be particularly appropriate for Modeling wireless communication networks of large-scale networks, in this research spatial (stochastic geometry) analysis is applied in a small network (W-LAN) for determining the locating points of an Access Point in a probabilistic way, particularly in a hotspot environment. To achieve the above objective, the stochastic models which were applied in Multi-hop network were first examined by applying them in W-LANs. After testing in three different areas, the Models were designed and adjusted so that they can be applied in WLANs. The application of the model in W-LANs gives good results.

Twahir R. Kazema was born in Tanzania(1984). He grew up in Morogoro town where he spends most of his time. He has a B.Eng(Hons) in Electronics & Communication from St. Joseph in Tanzania and MSc in Information and Communication Science and Engineering from Nelson Mandela African Institutions. He is currently a lecturer at St. Augustine University.
