Cucumis sativus L., commonly known as cucumber, is vegetable plant belonging to the family cucurbitaceae. It has medicinal value, as used as an anti-inflammatory, analgesic, antioxidant. It contains wide variety of minerals and biologically active compounds known as phytochemicals such as alkanoids, flavonoids, tannins, phlabotannins, steroids. Cucumber fruit is the chief ingredient of cosmetic industries as its juice contained silicon, ascorbic acid and caffeic acid help in reduces skin irritation, swelling, arrest certain age-associated degenerative changes and improve health, hair and skin complexion. Gibberellic acid (GA3) is a plant growth hormone (C19H22O6) that regulates seed germination, stem elongation, leaf expansion, fruit development, flowering and mineral uptake, enzyme activity, sugar synthesis and shelf life in plants. Potassium is a key nutrient for improving productivity of crops and show significant relationship in vegetable quality attributes.
