Production bottlenecks determine the capacity of a production system, thus, the throughput and output. The book is aimed at assessing the influence of bottleneck problems in production environment and forecast future production output under bottleneck conditions. Principal Component Analysis PCA) of the bottleneck variables established a mathematical relationship between primary and secondary bottleneck variables. Fourier Transform Analytics employed to analyze production output measurements detects bottleneck problem contextualized in Eletrocardiograph (ECG) signal which is a novel approach to detecting output variability attributable to both assignable and non-assignable bottleneck variables. Moreover, out-of-sample prediction of production output conveyed by Box-Jenkins (ARIMA) method in conjunction with Monte Carlo sensitivity analysis showed that ARIMA model can predict well under bottleneck conditions. It is a holistic production bottleneck evaluation techniques.
