Enhancing security in university campuses is inevitable to prevent from any unauthorized access to classrooms and laboratories that may cause to a loss of devices, appliances and valuable items. Therefore, implementing an effective security system for university student facilities has become a priority. The classic key is used in the door lock system, which works mechanically by entering the right key and twisting it to unlock the door. The stealing attacks are less dependable and fragile. This project presents an automatic classroom door lock system in the Halic University campus in Istanbul to control access and to enhance security and conserve energy. This project implements the RFID cards and tags as a security key that connect to a local server. The Id card used as an input to trigger the microcontroller and send the data processing to the local server using Visual Studio 2019 and compare it to the database. The server will give the instruction to the microcontroller as the input to the magnetic lock door. The research method of this project is analysing the security measurements of Halic University, collecting internal and external data.
