This work optimizes the EDM machining of Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) using new type electrode by Taguchi methodology. This work optimizes the EDM machining of Titanium alloy (Ti-6Al-4V) using new type electrode by Taguchi methodology. Three observed values, MRR, EWR, and SR (Ra,) verify this optimization of the machining technique. Moreover, analysis of the Taguchi method reveals that the electrical group has a more significant effect than the non-electrical group on the machining characteristics. Furthermore, either the pulse on duration or the peak current most prominently affects the MRR, SR or EWR amongst all of the parameters, whereas none of the non-electrical group has an equal affect. Also derived here are semi-empirical equations that contain all of the machining characteristics. To overcome the limitations of Taguchi methodology which is it can only optimize only one output parameter at a time. To overcome this "TheGrey Relational Analysis" is done. In this which will filter the date for multiple to obtain multiple parameters at a time.
