Penn State Abington is a commonwealth campus of the Pennsylvania State University. Located approximately 15 miles (24 km) north of Center City Philadelphia in the Rydal section of Abington, Pennsylvania, it is set in 45 acres (180,000 m2) wooded, which include a duck pond and stands of hardwood trees. The 3,250 undergraduate students are taught by a full-time faculty staff of 107 professors, with the average class size being 24 students. Students participate in a wide variety of activities and many types of intramural and intercollegiate sports.
