Civil-military relations are, in a way, the key to the real collaboration between the civilian population and the host nation institutions, on the one hand, and the military structures deployed in the area of operations, on the other hand. A complex and appropriate analysis of these relationships is a normal requirement so as to know the right ways of building peace. The paper Perspectives on CIMIC Structure as Part of Multinational Operations, written by Cosmina Roman meets this requirement and becomes a useful tool in studying the battlefield from a different perspective: i.e. the possibilities of building a lasting peace, based on mutual trust.
