The first part of the book provides an overview, explaining the structure of the book, helping you to get a more in-depth look into the exam, clarifying what the exam is designed to test about, and how to generally pass the exam, including strategies for success. The second part then is divided into several chapters, according to the way the exam itself is organized. At the end of each chapter there is a practice test section containing sample questions similar to those found on the SAP Certified ABAP Development Associate exam. The answers to the questions will follow the sample exams, along with explanations of why the answers are right.

Puneet Asthana is a recognized expert in ABAP development and has 14 years of development experience. He has been working for SAP for over seven years, and he has worked on a number of projects as a technical lead. He is currently working as a technical architect for a global SAP Retail implementation for a major retailer. He also has extensive experience in integrating SAP and non-SAP systems and leveraging SAP Integration Technologies to deliver innovative technical solutions.

David Haslam is a recognized expert in ABAP development, having worked for SAP for over 14 years; David has led or participated in over seven full lifecycle implementations of SAP, which include several multiple-phase projects and four large development projects. He was awarded the prestigious status of SAP Platinum Consultant more than eight years ago. He enjoys helping others through workshops and white papers, and sharing his knowledge and experience. In addition, David participates in development reviews, project estimates, and customer project issue escalations.
