"Scruffy, Scruffy, here comes Scruffy," teased the other dingo pups. Archie, a little dingo pup has not developed the skills to manage this bullying behaviour yet, so he lashes out at the other pups and finds himself on his own in the bush. Whilst many bush animals try to cheer him up, he still misses his pack. Archie takes a journey through the bush and meets an old wise emu; he provides Archie with some great advice on how he can return and become part of the pack again.

Autorenporträt
The Scruffy Dingo is Patricia Barden's second educational book. Her first book, an innovative children's resource titled I'm the Boss of my Body was included in a range of resources utilised by Protective Behaviours W.A. for Child Safety Services around Australia. Local Cairns State Government MP Rob Pyne assisted with the launch as part of his Child Protection Portfolio. Originally employed by the Queensland Education Department in Australia as a Preschool Teacher Aide, Patricia went on to assist children with mental or physical disabilities in childcare and preschool settings through the Inclusion Support Agency. This led to self-employment as a Family Day Care Educator for 12 years followed by 16 years in community support roles, most recently as a Carer Support Officer assisting carers to access respite services and support. Patricia is also a proud mother to adult children who she has lovingly raised to be confident, professional people in their community.
